Little Man is 4 months old!!
Celebrate!!
Its hard to believe.
He's so much fun and such a good boy. Very "chill", relaxed little "chubbers", as we call him.
Here are his stats at his 4 month check up:
Height: 25 1/2 inches 50-60th %tile
Weight: 16 lbs 8 oz 75th %tile
Head: BIG! 75-80th %tile
and of course, 100% perfect. Haha...so cliche!
Here is my little Valentine!
Some random pictures from my phone....
(all were basically the same shot, with just different outfits on...what else do you do at 3-4 months?)
This month he has become way more interactive. Smiling a lot and he even had his first laugh a few weeks ago. I have found his "tickle" spots. In the crease of his legs and under his chin. He giggles when we tickle him there. He also giggles when I say: "You're gonna be a BIG BOY!" emphasis on "Big" in a high pitched tone....he loves it! Hah. He's seriously so sweet. Very content. We just adore him.
He's sleeping much better this month. Right around the 4 month mark he has only woken me up once at night to feed with the occasional 2nd time. I will usually dream feed him before I go to bed and then he will wake me between 3am-5am and then wake up around 8am. He is napping 3 naps a day and has a bed time routine of bath and nursing/rocking at 7:30. He's such a good little guy. I never really had trouble "sleep training" him. He didn't even really cry when I'd lay him down for naps. I just watched his cues and when he seemed sleepy I'd lay him down and he'd suck his hands and fall right asleep. On a rare occasion he might cry for about 2 minutes or so. He's so good. Both my kids did this. They never really cried it out. I swear to the fact that babies will put themselves on a schedule...once you figure out their rhythm stick with it! They are so much happier when they kind of know whats coming.
Unlike Mady he does not take a paci. He has hated them from day 1. So, we aren't doing one. The major reason we gave Mady one was because of her tummy craps and reflux. Collin wasn't as bothered by his reflux and never really needed a paci. When offered one he'd gag. Hah! So still paci free. He will suck his thumb and fingers quite often. This month he started the dreaded drool! I remember Mady doing this. I swore she was cutting teeth, but no. Just drool. Wet outfits galore. Time to bust out the bibs!
He's wearing size 6, 6-9 and 9 month clothing. In size 3 diapers.
He had his first cold this month! Yuck. But did really well with it. Slept like a champ with it. 8hr+ at night with no waking to feed. Made me feel so rested! Little guy was fighting it off!
This month he has also started to hold toys intentionally. Grabbing things hanging and bringing them to his mouth. He watches Mady more...but still hasn't quite figured her out yet. We still haven't mastered the "roll over" yet. Mady rolled right before her 4 month mark...but little man's body is so much bigger...he can't quite get the strength to move it all over yet :). Soon I'm sure.
What a delight he is. We are in love. He's in love with us and we just might have to keep him for good. ;)
Love you little guy.
