Collin 5 Months

This month snuck up on me.
On the 17th it hit me, "Oh, you're 5 months!!" Who knows how many weeks that is??? I lost count after 8 with Collin. Hah.

So here's some cute pictures of my little man and some info about what he's into.

Dear Collin,

You are such a delight!!!

We just adore your sweet smiles and funny noises. You're all boy. You grunt and make "boy" noises, where as your sister made little sweet, girly "coos" and squeaks. I love your differences.

This month we've had to break out the bibs because you are drooling like a little puppy. Must be teething, but I'm sure we won't see a tooth anytime soon. Your sissy did this too and didn't pop out any teeth until 10 1/2 months!! Crazy. Maybe you'll beat her.

Another super exciting development! You found your feet!!! I love this stage. Its just so darn cute to watch your grab them. When I sit you up you try to lean forward to get them and fall face first. You are so tough though, it doesn't even phase you.

Sissy has been way more involved with you this month. Helping you with your toys and trying to make you laugh and smile. Its so fun to see you both interact with each other.

So lately you've been really wanting to sit up...but as you've seen from the pictures above you face plant most of the time when you try. Its just hilarious.

You sister was so much smaller than you that she could already sit up at this age with the help of pillows.

You also aren't too interested in rolling yet. You still haven't done that. But you are much stronger on your belly and have no problem holding your head up and kicking your legs, making the swimming motion.

FEET! (and your freckle!)

You have begun to mimic some noises I will make to you...which is so fun.
You are also a major flirt. If someone talks to you, you will smile for them and then turn your head into me. Then look back quickly to them. its so darn cute!!!!

You do like your exersaucer.
Gives you a change of scenery...not to mention more chew options.

You only wake me once at night to eat now. (thank you)
This is our last month nursing exclusively (sad)...next month you'll have your first foods. Which means you will "graduate" to some "higher level" of babydom, in my book.  I predict you will love it.
But this time of exclusive nursing has been very sweet.

Not sure on your weight or height because you havent been to the doctor lately.
You're still in size 3 diapers and you're wearing size 6-9, 9 months and some 9-12.
You don't look too much bigger to me from last month, but a tad longer.

You will grow too fast for my heart, so its ok for you to stay this little and sweet for me, for a little while longer.

Bubbers, you are my little man and we love you. Your personality is so sweet and relaxed. Just what we all needed. I thank God for you life daily. You are a blessing to us. We found out about you a year ago this month and it was a wonderful time of excitement and hopeful trust in God to grow you faithfully. He did. We are thrilled to have you. Thankful to raise you to know the God that created you.
