Happy 2013

Another NYE has come and gone. This was the first year I watched ZERO of the Dick Clark "rockin NYE" nor saw the ball drop!

Such is the life when 11 pm is a late bedtime. Really not like me, once my little guy decides to sleep more through the night my night owl tendencies will return.

I will say this year was a fun year. We went over to a friends place and played games. Came home around 10 and went to bed! Hah!!

My NYE kiss to this little dimple wasn't until our first feeding at 2:30 am, so actually the first kiss of the new year belongs to Collin!
How fitting, seeing as he's the biggest blessing of our 2012 year.

I remember beginning 2012 with little hope after coming off a long year (2011) of long suffering. Adoption plans changed, we had 3 miscarriages and both Bryan and I had medical problems.

We were certainly ready to close the books in 2011; 2012 proved to be a great year for us and largely due to this guy.....
and...

This beautiful girl.
What a joy both these babes are to us!!!

Mady and I built this fun snowman on NYE. She had a blast playing in her first (and last) official "big" snowfall of the year.

2012 proved to be a great year!! Here are few other reasons why:

- Bryan started a new job with The Learning House (no more Starbucks)
- Bryan started his PhD work
- Bryan taught another class at Boyce College
- Mady started MDO program and loves it!
- Mady became potty trained finally!
- I became a mother of 2!
- I enjoyed another year if fellowship in my amazing Bible Study, studying the book of Malachi and a Tim Keller study
- We celebrated 6 years of marriage
- Calvin turned 5, Mady 3, Danielle and Bryan 28
- We enjoyed leading our small group
- We celebrated our 4th year as members of Immanuel Baptist Church

2012 was a full year! As we look forward to the new mercies The Lord has for us in 2013, we cannot help smiling at the grace He gave in 2012! Thank you Jesus!

"In the next five minutes, you will receive sustaining grace flowing to you from the future, and you will accumulate another five minutes’ worth of grace in the reservoir of the past. The proper response to grace you experienced in the past is gratitude, and the proper response to grace promised to you in the future is faith. We are thankful for the past grace of the last year, and we are confident in future grace for the new year."
